CPP drops a tough one to the Wildcats

Collin Asmonga

Collin Asmonga (’99)

The Panthers started the 2-game weekend by taking on the Jersey Wildcats. at Regency Ice Rink. The Panthers highlight of the game came in the first when Forward Collin Asmonga (’99) scored his first JR goal, it was assisted by Jake Beck (’97) on a beautiful tip in-front of the net. Josh Watterson (’98) chipped in a goal in the second period to draw the Panthers even at 2. Danny Miller (’99) got the call in pipes and made 40 saves. But 5-goals from the Wildcats in the third was the difference.

“We need to be better”, said Wil Younger, the team General Manager. “Our effort level was not where it needs to be in the third to compete, it’s that simple. It was 2:2 headed to the third, Jersey took it to us, and wanted it more – they got the win”.
