Panthers Comeback to Win

Martin Zavadan

Martin “Candlestick” Zavadan (’00) Scores 2 Third Period Goals

The u16s took on the Delco Phantoms (Purple) team at Ice Works in Aston Sunday afternoon. The team looked very sluggish through the first period and a half. Delco got on the board twice before a stone rush from second year forward Gavin Maurer (’00) tapped in his own rebound to get the Panthers on the board. Just 21 seconds into the 3rd forward Sean Barba (’02) scored the tying goal for Central Penn. Just under 4-minutes later Martin Zavadan (’00) intercepted a clearing attempt for his first of 2 goals of the game and completing the comeback and sealing the win.

The Panthers 3 third period goals mark their first comeback victory of the season. Goalie Creed Goshorn (’01) continued his strong season with 19 saves in the win.
