Danny Miller

Danny Miller (’99) 31-Save Shutout

Congratulations to Panthers goaltender Danny Miller (’99) for earning his first Junior win, with a 31-save effort.

After a scoreless first period, forward Sam Mutkus (’00) opened the scoring with a short-handed goal on a turnover in the Renegades zone just 24 seconds into the second period. A little over 9 minutes later forward Patrick Swain (’99) scored to give the Panthers a 2:0 lead. As the period was winding down Cory Madison (’98) led a 2-on-1 rush with Swain; resulting in a beautiful saucer from Madison to Swain for his second of the game.

“Danny was really good for us today, and we played a much better team game today than when we did last week, but that is to be expected, we are a pretty young team and we are starting to gel a bit. Our kids are still learning the game at the JR. level, but they are eager to learn and love to work”, said Wil Younger, the team General Manager. “It’s great to see the guys get rewarded for their efforts today”.
