BOSTON, MA — The first month of the 2018-19 Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) season is officially in the books. The first 33 games of the year brought with them a number of great matchups and performances across the league. With every team hitting the ice for at least 4 games apiece, there were plenty of worthy candidates for our first set of TSR Hockey Stars of the Month.
The EHLP is pleased to announce that Brenden Yingling (Central Penn Panthers), Jack Johansen (New England Wolves), and Ryan Fueg (New England Wolves) have been named the TSR Hockey Stars of the Month for September.
The Stars of the Month will all receive a $20 TSR Hockey gift certificate.
Scroll down to read about each player’s set of September performances, and remember to catch the #Eshow action all year long on HockeyTV.
Yingling and the Panthers may have finished the month of September with a record of 1-5-1, but included in those losses are 4 defeats all by 3 goals or less. Also in that time, Yingling turned heads across the league while scoring 10 goals and dishing out 10 assists. The EHLP’s leading scorer tallied at least a point in all 7 games for the Panthers, and he will carry a 2-point edge over his teammate Nate Matthews into the month of October. The upcoming schedule is busy for Central Penn, with 9 total games on the docket in October. Yingling will look to keep his scoring streak going when the Panthers take on the Valley Jr. Warriors and the Connecticut Chiefs at the Columbus Day Showcase in Aston, PA.
