Panthers Skate to a Lopsided Win

Gavin Maurer (’00) Scored his First u16 Hat-trick

After an eventful pregame that saw the visiting Senators silly-string a locker-room, the u16s took took care of business Saturday morning at Regency Ice Rink. On the heals of the Panthers 11:0 win over York, Gavin Maurer (’00) had a strong 4-point game, including his first hat-trick. After a slow start, Central Penn got on the board with a nice goal from Jake “Petey” Jesberger at 5:06 of the first; assisted by David Derolf (’00) and his fellow d-man Tommy Knapp (’01).

Through the first 16-minutes the Panthers held a 4:0 lead, and continued to pressure the Sets in the Second, adding 5 second period goals. Along with Maurer, several others had strong games; Jake “Petey” Jesberger (’01), Cooper Younger (’01), Evan Weaver (’00) and Kevin Eshleman (’01) all had multiple point games. Final score was CPP 10: Sens 0. Goalie Creed Goshorn (’01) made 6 saves while back-stopping the Panthers for his third shut-out of the season.
